FAIRCAPE CARERS AT OLD AGE FACILITIES
Old Age Facilities, Faircape Health, invites warm and dedicated Carers to be part of our caring family in our facility.
You will, as part of our family, assist in giving one-on-one care and support to patients of diverse categories. We treat patients who require long-term care, from frail care and dementia care to palliative care, and those in need of sub-acute rehabilitation and respite care.
As a Carer, you will work to the personalized care plans to ensure that each resident feels safe and comfortable, encouraging a caring and therapeutic environment for all of our residents.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
– Assisting residents with daily activities according to their personal care plans.
– Providing companionship, emotional support, and escorting residents on daily activities such as walking, meals, and participating in recreational activities.
– Capturing all the interactions and daily activities with residents in our computer system, Healthware, using the company-provided cellphone.
– Informing your supervisor of any changes or concerns regarding a resident’s status immediately.
– Adherence to the infection control and health safety policies of the company.
– Rotation of camera watch duty on evenings for the security of the residents, being vigilant for any unusual movement or potential dangers.
REQUIREMENTS:
– Certification as a Carer from a reputable organization is a bonus.
– SETA accreditation will also be a bonus.
– Previous positive experience as a Carer or in a similar role.
– Familiarity with elderly care principles, including dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitative care.

WORKING HOUR AND SALARY:
– 16.25 shifts per month
– Day shifts: 07h00 until 19h00
– Night shifts 19h00 until 07h00 (night shift allowance will be included)
– Basic Salary: R5,800.00 per month.
– Estimated total salary could increase to R7,300 per month due to Sundays work, Public holidays, Quarterly bonuses and additional shifts worked.
– R200 allowance should they be called to work additional shifts on short notice.
